Within the scope of the institutional visits
of our "Empowered Media Navigators" project, a visit was paid to BTK
Academy, Turkey's leading institution in informatics and technology education.
A comprehensive informative presentation was
delivered to our delegation by the officials of BTK Academy, which conducts
activities at international standards regarding digital literacy and safe
internet usage.
During the visit, our participants had the
opportunity to gain on-site information about;
- Training modules ranging from informatics law to cybersecurity,
- Turkey's digital transformation vision,
- National strategies regarding safe internet usage.
We continue towards our goal of increasing the
digital competencies of our youth by establishing contact with the strongest
actors in the sector.
Within the scope of the field studies of our
"Empowered Media Navigators" project, a visit was paid to the Turkish
Radio and Television Corporation (TRT), the flagship of our public
broadcasting.
During the visit, a briefing meeting was held
for our delegation by the officials of the Corporation. In the presentation;
- TRT's founding purpose and fundamental broadcasting principles,
- National and international broadcasting goals,
- Motivation for accurate and impartial journalism were emphasized;
and the institution's "memory" and "vision" mission
was detailed.
Our participants had the opportunity to learn
the ethical codes and social responsibility of public broadcasting at the
source.
